EASTER IS COMING!

Last Friday, together with my fellow member of the One Craft Gallery, jeweller Caroline Tetley, we did the window dressing in the gallery ready for Easter.  Caroline keeps geese and brought in some eggs that she had blown and decoupaged.  I took in my cardboard cut-out daffodils, as they seem to be the flower of the moment - the bright yellow blooms are all over the place!  The felt Easter eggs, hanging from the white twig tree in the centre of the window, have been made by Monika Varga - she is Polish and a guest maker in the gallery.  She also made the delightful child's bag in the shape of a house which can be seen below - top left.

Above, on the top left, you can just see I have done another blackbird picture.  The background was made up of collaged sheets of music and old copies of The New Musical Express.  These were then coloured with transparent fluid acrylic paints before the blackbird, cut from decorated papers, was applied together with the extra musical notes and ' Yeah, Yeah, Yeah' - very sixties!!

'Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!' (20cms square on canvas)
