After making some tags with mount board for some gift bags, I have made some Christmas ones with a collaged base. I used a scalpel for cutting the tags out and a leather punch for the holes. As they are thick the holes did not need reinforcement, so I just edged them with a metallic gold felt tip. I also used it to make gold dots and an edging. I then added some shiny red star stickers. It is important to keep the back of the tags clean so I was always careful to put them on clean paper and not to put them down on my messy work surface while doing the fronts. Then all I had to do was look in my ribbon stash...
