EVERY PICTURE TELLS A STORY


For the latest window dressing at the One Craft Gallery, we have majored on the art we sell.  Many of our customers come in looking at the textiles, ceramics, glasswork, woodwork and jewellery, often for gifts, and forget that we also sell wall art!

I have used one of my favourite phrases, 'every picture tells a story'  in vintage lexicon letters pegged onto string, to set the scene.  The phrase 'each picture told a story' was first used in Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre in 1847, and then emerged as the words I used, in the Daily Mail in 1904!

Caroline and I then used white cubes to create frames for pictures, prints and cards, some of which were mounted on miniature easels.  We finished our display with some white empty picture frames...
