In the One Craft Gallery at the moment are these gorgeous patchwork quilts by Sue Durely. As I am in charge of guest makers, who exhibit for two months at a time, I get to see them first. The ten quilts of various sizes, priced from £50 - £120 (so reasonable for the amount of work involved!), reminded me what fabulous fabrics there are out there if you go and look. Sue takes a long time sourcing her fabrics, from all over the place, to get just the right colour and design combination. Not all the fabrics are new. She also uses vintage materials - anything that catches her discerning eye. The quilts will be in the gallery until the end of August.
