DEVELOPING MY CUBE ART!

I have been developing my cube art.  I started with wooden cubes (9cms), which were primed and painted with a layer of acrylic - yellow (top row), royal blue (middle row), and red (bottom row).  These were then covered with a layer of gloss medium and allowed to dry.  I then treated each cube as a blank canvas to cover with an abstract design in black, white and grey.

Then it was a case of looking at the design, scratching through to the bright coloured acrylic underneath, and adding collage papers and further details on each face of each cube. I then varnished and waxed them so that they can be handled, as wooden cubes are quite tactile...
