I have turned my attention to making christmas decorations, cards, etc. with the gallery in mind. I have developed a simple idea to make tree decorations out of recycled materials - ice lolly sticks, toilet roll cardboard cylinders, lace and string. I used PVA to glue the pieces together. They were painted with gesso and acrylic paint and finished off with silver glitter glue and a punched out silver star.
I have kept to a monochrome colour scheme - white with black or grey wash or black with a white wash, but I could imagine these in other brilliant colours and decorated in different ways. I find the simple shape pleasing and can see it as a basis for christmas cards, wrapping paper etc.
