I love the target grid paintings of Sir Terry Frost so I used this format to compare three colours - turquoise, pink and green. I changed the value of the colours and put them together so when they are in the grid format it was interesting to see what parts of the target recede and what parts come forward. Those targets with colours of similar characteristics as the background, merge more than those who don't.
The targets were painted with acrylics and then enhanced with stencilling and stamping patterns in the same acrylic colours to give some extra depth.
