This collection of collages - 6 x 4 inches in size - are based around stamps. I have a box in my studio full of various stamps from around the world. I cut up some experimental mixed media art work, selected suitable stamps to go with the background, and composed these artworks by adding more collaged elements inspired by the stamps chosen. They were all mounted onto white card ready for framing.
I love working with stamps as they are miniature works of art which often have symbolic meanings and glimpses into what is important in other cultures.
